The Associate Product Manager (Boston, MA)

The Associate Product Manager at Harmonix works under the direction of the Product Manager.  Product Management at Harmonix represents the business ownership for the games we develop and publish.  This includes the responsibility for assessing product concept viability and strategic fit in the initial phase of development, and then for ensuring that our products delight customers and achieve our financial and strategic goals.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Business Case: Analyze market trends, develop product positioning, and assess sales potential relative to development cost in support of internal greenlight decisions for the products you manage
  • Product Requirements:  Work with development teams to develop and articulate product requirements based on customer needs and competitive landscape
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive research and analysis to inform feature prioritization and tactical marketing decision-making
  • Business Planning: Develop and manage product P&L throughout development and post-launch to monitor and achieve profit performance
  • User Experience:  Work tirelessly to ensure a high-quality user experience for our customers at every touch point – in playing our games, at point of sale, and during customer support
  • Coordination:  Coordinate efforts of all internal stakeholders – design, development, music licensing, marketing, legal, and finance – and external partners to ensure product success

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, communications, or other relevant discipline
  • Masters Degree a plus
  • 2+ years working on product development, product marketing in software, preferably in games or other digital/entertainment medium
  • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
  • Passion for music or videogames, preferably both
